Department of Special Collections | UES | History of the Institute | Goals of the Institute

Corinne A. Seeds University Elementary School (UES) is the laboratory school of UCLA's Graduate School of Education & Information Studies. An outstanding faculty of 26 teachers and additional resource people provide high quality education to 460 children ages 4-12, from diverse ethnic and socioeconomic backgrounds. As a university laboratory school, the objectives of UES are to: (1) conduct research, (2) provide opportunities for professional training, (3) serve as a model and resource for educators, and (4) create unique educational experiences for students.
